Pool Leak Detection in the Algarve

Traditional leak investigation relies on pressure testing, which tells you a leak exists somewhere in the system but not where. Finding the exact source typically means digging, opening up pipework, and working by elimination. It is slow, disruptive and expensive.

Our electronic detection equipment locates the source directly. We test the full system in a single visit: skimmer seams, lights, main drains, the pool structure, underground pipework and fittings. The pool stays full throughout.

The most common sign is water level dropping faster than evaporation can account for. That said, evaporation in the Algarve can take several centimetres a week off a pool in summer, so a leak is not always obvious straight away. Damp patches around the pool area are another giveaway. So is a water bill that has crept up without explanation, or equipment running longer than it used to.

If you are topping up more often than you remember doing before, it is worth a call.

Once we have located the leak, we talk you through the repair options. Some leaks are straightforward fixes that we carry out on the same visit. Others, particularly those involving underground pipework or structural damage, may form part of a broader refurbishment project.
