Pool Heat Pumps for the Algarve

Polytropic produces three models, and between them they cover everything from a small private pool to a large hotel installation.

The Ottimo suits smaller pools and installations where space is tight. Its vertical air discharge and compact profile allow it to sit closer to walls and boundaries than a conventional unit, which is a genuine advantage on the narrower pool surrounds common in the Algarve. Three operating modes let the owner balance output against noise, with the quietest setting producing just 19 dB at 10 metres.

The Master Inverter is the model we install most often for residential pools in the Algarve. It covers the broadest range of pool sizes in the Polytropic line and delivers strong heating efficiency at low noise levels, independently verified by the CTTM laboratory in France.

The RAK Inverter is designed for large private pools, hotel pools and communal installations. Up to 15 units can be connected to a single controller, making the system scalable to virtually any pool volume.

Selecting the right heat pump is not simply a matter of matching pool volume to a model number. Orientation, wind exposure, the presence or absence of a pool cover, and the desired bathing temperature all affect the calculation. We use Polytropic's sizing software to model heat loss for each pool and select the unit that will deliver the required performance at the lowest running cost.

All installations are carried out by our own team. The unit is plumbed into the existing filtration circuit, and we configure PolyConnect on site and walk the owner through the app before leaving. Every Polytropic heat pump carries a manufacturer warranty.
